About this course
The Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) is the world's most recognized Scrum certification, issued by the Scrum Alliance — the organization that pioneered Scrum certifications globally. Holding a CSM demonstrates that you understand the Scrum framework deeply enough to support a Scrum team, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and coach the organization toward greater agility.
CertScope's CSM training is delivered by Certified Scrum Trainers (CSTs) authorized by the Scrum Alliance. The 16-hour live course covers the full Scrum framework: the three roles (Scrum Master, Product Owner, Development Team), five ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog Refinement), three artifacts (Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Increment), and the Definition of Done. You also practice real-world facilitation skills through role-play exercises, simulations, and team activities that go beyond textbook theory.
With 87% of Agile practitioners using Scrum as their primary framework and the global Agile market expected to surpass USD 30 billion by 2030, CSM-certified professionals are in high demand across technology, banking, healthcare, retail, and consulting. CSMs earn 21% more than their non-certified peers, with senior roles commanding $120,000–$155,000+ annually in the US market.
Your course fee includes the Scrum Alliance exam voucher (two attempts), a 2-year Scrum Alliance membership, 16 PDUs, and 16 Scrum Education Units (SEUs) — giving you everything you need to get certified and stay connected to the global Scrum community.
Step 1: Verify Eligibility & Enroll
Day 1The CSM has no prerequisites — it is open to all professionals. Enroll in CertScope's Scrum Alliance-authorized CSM training, choose your preferred batch (weekday evenings, weekends, or intensive 2-day), and gain immediate access to pre-course Agile reading materials and the official Scrum Guide.
Step 2: Complete 16-Hour Live CSM Training
2 DaysAttend 16 hours of live instructor-led training with a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST). Cover the full Scrum framework: three Scrum roles, five ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective, Backlog Refinement), three artifacts, and the Definition of Done. Practise through sprint simulations, facilitation role-plays, and retrospective workshops.
Step 3: Practise with CSM Mock Exams
2–5 DaysConsolidate your knowledge with 4 full-length CSM mock exams (50 questions each), topic-wise quizzes covering Scrum Guide definitions, role boundaries, and ceremony time-boxes, and trainer-guided Q&A sessions. Since the CSM exam is open-book, focus on speed and confidence with real scenarios rather than memorization.
Step 4: Pass the CSM Exam
1 DaySit the Certified ScrumMaster® exam: 50 multiple-choice and true/false questions, 60 minutes, open-book, delivered online via the Scrum Alliance portal. The passing score is 74% (37/50). You have two free attempts included with your course. Results are available immediately upon submission.
Step 5: Receive Your CSM Credential & Scrum Alliance Membership
ImmediateUpon passing, accept the Scrum Alliance license agreement and your CSM certification is activated immediately. You receive a 2-year Scrum Alliance membership, 16 PDUs for PMI credential holders, and 16 SEUs toward CCR renewal. Your CSM appears on the public Scrum Alliance global registry — shareable on LinkedIn and verifiable by employers.
Step 6: Advance — A-CSM, CSP-SM & Agile Coach Roles
OngoingWith your CSM, you're eligible for roles including Scrum Master ($98K–$121K/year), Agile Coach, and Release Train Engineer. Progress along the Scrum Alliance track: A-CSM (Advanced Certified ScrumMaster, after 1 year experience) → CSP-SM (Certified Scrum Professional, after 2 years + 70 SEUs). Add SAFe certifications for enterprise agile leadership roles.
Scrum Alliance Authorized Training
CertScope is an authorized Scrum Alliance training provider. Your CSM certification is issued directly by the Scrum Alliance — the most respected Scrum credentialing body globally, with over 1.5 million certified professionals worldwide.
Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) Led
All sessions are delivered by Certified Scrum Trainers (CSTs) — the highest trainer designation from the Scrum Alliance. CSTs bring 10–25 years of hands-on Agile and Scrum delivery experience across industries.
Hands-On Simulations & Role Play
Move beyond slides with real Scrum simulations, sprint execution exercises, facilitation role-plays, and retrospective workshops that mirror what you will do on the job from day one.
High First-Attempt Pass Rate
With structured coverage of all exam topics, 4 mock exams calibrated to the real CSM test, and trainer-guided Q&A, most CertScope learners pass the 50-question CSM exam on their first attempt.
Exam Fee + 2-Year Membership Included
Your course fee covers the Scrum Alliance exam voucher (two attempts), a 2-year Scrum Alliance membership, 16 PDUs, and 16 SEUs — everything bundled, no hidden costs.
Clear Path to Advanced Certifications
CSM is step one of a clear progression: CSM → A-CSM (Advanced Certified ScrumMaster) → CSP-SM (Certified Scrum Professional). CertScope guides you through each level with dedicated advanced training programs.

Facilitate all four Scrum ceremonies confidently — understanding purpose, time-box, inputs, outputs, and what makes each one effective or dysfunctional.
- Sprint Planning: setting the Sprint Goal and selecting the Sprint Backlog
- Daily Scrum: 15-minute sync — activities, common anti-patterns, and facilitation tips
- Sprint Review: demonstrating the Increment and gathering structured stakeholder feedback
- Sprint Retrospective: formats (Start/Stop/Continue, 4Ls, sailboat) and ensuring follow-through

- Sprint Backlog and its commitment: the Sprint Goal
- The Increment and its commitment: the Definition of Done
- Definition of Done (DoD): for a user story, for a sprint, and for a release
- Done vs. Done-Done: why the distinction matters for quality and stakeholder trust
