Daily Scrum
Quick Definition
A 15-minute time-boxed event for the Developers to inspect progress toward the Sprint Goal and adapt the Sprint Backlog as necessary.
Detailed Explanation
The Daily Scrum is held every working day at the same time and place. It's not a status meeting — it's an inspect-and-adapt event where Developers coordinate their work and identify impediments.
Common formats include each person answering: What did I do yesterday? What will I do today? Do I have any blockers? However, teams can use any format that achieves the purpose.
The Scrum Master ensures the event occurs but the Developers own it. If others attend, they observe but don't participate.
